The role:

Deliver end-to-end analysis of markets and economic factors influencing property investment,
including requirements specification, data gathering, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables
and participating in presentations to senior stakeholders.

Particularly the position is to:
i. Solve difficult, non-routine problems by applying relevant advanced analytics techniques (e.g.
statistical modelling, text analytics, machine learning).
ii. Work with structured and unstructured data sets that vary in volume, velocity and form.
iii. Work closely with different functions of the business to identify opportunities for improving
decision-making through analytics.
iv. Collaborate with stakeholders to frame problems into questions that can be answered with data.

 Tertiary qualification in statistics, econometrics, applied mathematics, computer science, data
analytics or related disciplines essential.
 Prior industry experience applying data science and advanced analytics techniques, or related
Postgraduate qualification (Masters or PhD). Research experience will be viewed favourably.
 Prior analytics consulting experience viewed favourably.
 Prior experience working in the field of real estate, finance or economics preferred.
 Proficiency in R and Python (required).
 Experience with a leading data visualisation tool is required (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI,
ggplot, d3.js).

 Demonstrated passion for undertaking empirical work.
 Proven track record solving complex problems using quantitative techniques.
 Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present
credibly with senior stakeholders.
 Demonstrated leadership and initiative in driving projects.
 Willingness and ability to teach and learn new techniques.
 Desire and willingness to stay abreast of new and leading tools, techniques and technologies to
obtain relevant insights to support the Strategy and Market team objectives and the broader
 Proven track record of working effectively with others - openly sharing information, supporting
others and participating actively.
 Energetic and enthusiastic approach.
 Proven ability to adapt and be flexible, and remain calm under pressure.
 Proven track record of being reliable and responsible.
