Part of a larger Group, this EdTech business is looking for a newly appointed Head of Sales & Customer Success to build out a client-focussed Sales and Customer Success function.
As Head of Sales & Customer Success, you will play a pivotal role in producing incremental sales revenue through old clients and new business alike. With the scope to build out a team, this is the perfect opportunity for a proven Sales Manager to take the next step in their career and take charge of a business with a great brand presence in market and take it to the next level.
You will be expected to manage your own time and customer engagement effectively to deliver the highest revenue return by activity type.
As such, your responsibilities will include:
- Build a client focussed sales & client success function
- Accountable for revenue from new and existing customers
- Build the sales strategy, methodology and processes to exceed budget
Build a client success function that:
- Develops a partnership style relationship with customers that enables their success through our products and services
- Drives client engagement & product utilisation
- Identifies, nurtures and closes upsell and cross sell opportunities; and
- Retains customers
Develop sales plans, targets and incentives
Establish detailed pipelines and accurate forecasting
Leverage the use of data and analytics to drive all aspects of the sales & retention process. E.g. product utilisation, NPS, etc.
Collaborate with marketing to develop sales collateral required to support acquiring new clients, growing and retaining existing clients
Collaborate with internal business teams to feedback market and customer insights to enable continued product and service development
Recruit, coach and mentor a sales team
- Proven experience winning new business and growing 'share of wallet' in a tech business - Being a player and coach
- Sales leadership experience, with experience being a BDM and a client success manager
- Strong understanding of client success and the activities that lead to increased retention and share of wallet.
- An inspirational leader that can motivate a sales team to exceed results
- Can traverse the need to be strategic, develop processes, etc. as well as roll up the sleeves and lead by example
- Data driven - A consumer of data and believe in the use of data to inform sales process
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Strong collaborator and can work with individuals in all areas and experience levels
- Self-starter - you're able to quickly identify key priorities and drive towards delivering tangible outcomes
